Write a Blessing on the Floor of Kennedy Hall

MACU Community—students, faculty, staff, and area alumni—mark your calendar for Thursday, September 26, 2013. You are invited to be part of a special event at our new classroom building, Kennedy Hall, from 2:30-3:30 p.m., when we will “Write a Blessing” (Bible verses, heartfelt hopes, and prayers) on the floors throughout the new building.

Once we’ve added our blessings to the foundation of Kennedy Hall, the floors of all three floors will be carpeted and readied for the move-in process to begin in mid-October. But just think, your words of blessing and encouragement will become part of the foundation and history of Kennedy Hall for all time!

Some of you were present on campus this past summer when participants of the Church of God Youth Leadership Summit performed this same blessing on the floors of the Administration Building. First they helped pull up all the old carpeting in record time! You can see some of the written words of encouragement on the MACU Facebook in the photo album called, “Leadership Summit Friday July 12, 2013.”

So bring your markers—your favorite Bible verses, and best hopes and wishes for present and future students, faculty, and staff—and come “Write a Blessing” on the floor of Kennedy Hall, September 26. We’ll meet at 2:30 p.m. in the new north parking lot of Kennedy Hall for some brief directions (ONLY write on the floor) and a brief prayer of blessing.

Also for your information, the official Kennedy Hall Building Dedication will be held January 10, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. More to come on this exciting event! Save the date!
