Summer Interns

In following our Mission Statement of equipping students to impact their world and professionally serve in their chosen ministry, our summer intern program provides an outlet for our ministry students to be actively involved while furthering their education through hands on ministry.

This program will allow churches seeking summer interns to contact our students through the school providing greater security for those churches knowing our students are recommended by the University. The program also allows the University to protect our student’s well being by setting up guidelines for provisions and job descriptions so our students are able to count the cost of the offered internship.

Student Requirements

  • Must be at least a second semester sophomore
  • Must be a ministry student for at least one year
  • Must have at least a 2.5 CGPA
  • Must have two recommendation letters: pastor/MACU staff or faculty
  • Must attend a local Church of God congregation
  • Must fill out application and background check

Church Requirements

  • Cost of transportation to church
  • Housing
  • Provide transportation while interning
  • Cost of all registration fees for camps/conventions if required to attend
  • Detailed Job Description
  • Monetary compensation including enough for cost of living
  • If only part time intern, then assistance in securing part time job in the area
