Former students of Gulf-Coast Bible College will be gathering May 27-30, in Lebanon, Ohio, to reconnect with friends and to meet other alumni. GBC alumni are organizing the event.
From 1955 to 1985, Gulf-Coast Bible College was the name of what is now Mid-America Christian University. The school was founded in 1953 as South Texas Bible Institute. It was located in Houston from its founding until it moved to Oklahoma City in 1985.
After the school moved to its current location in Oklahoma City in 1985, it became Mid-America Bible College. In 2003, as the college began to offer degrees internationally and expand its degree programs, the institution changed its name to Mid-America Christian University.
