Thomas School of International Studies
Mid-America Christian University established the Thomas School of International Studies (TSIS), named in honor of the life ministries of Chuck and Donna Thomas, in 2005.
Chuck and Donna Thomas founded Project Partner, a missionary enterprise dedicated to sharing Christ's love by involving individuals and congregations in cross-cultural experiences. Project Partner initiated international mission projects, provided medical clinics throughout the world, and helped to either plant or nurture many Christian congregations in the United States and other countries.
The Thomas School for International Studies continues in the spirit of the Thomases' work. The TSIS plans to work in the United States and around the world to promote cultural understanding and to develop leaders in the marketplace and in ministry. The TSIS is developing cross-cultural curriculum for traditional students, translating online courses into Spanish, and recruiting international students to enroll in MACU's leadership and ministry degree programs.
