Military Life Experience
To help our military members earn their degree faster, MACU provides life experience credit based on past military service.
MACU awards credit for educational experiences during military service according to the recommendations of the American Council on Education as published in “The Guide to the Evaluation of Military Experiences in the Armed Services.” Students are responsible for providing the Office of the Registrar official military joint services transcripts (JST) for review.
Any student who served in the Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy and are using Department of Defense funding including but not limited to tuition assistance or VA education benefits is required to provide an official Military Joint Services Transcript (JST) for evaluation. The maximum number of ACE military credit hours a student can earn is established at 30, this is in combination with credit from other ACE, CLEP, DSST, and AP credit. This maximum credit does not include credit awarded through CDC or ACT evaluations.
