Multicultural Day, March 1, 2013

The Diversity Committee is pleased to announce the first annual Mid-America Christian University Multicultural Day. On March 1, 2013, we will celebrate African-American Culture and Heritage through a day of activities and service. Classes will be cancelled to allow students and faculty to attend the schedule of activities. During the chapel hour, the Langston University Choir will be performing. Following a short break, we will have a local author and speaker, Scott Williams. Supervisors may allow departmental personnel to attend the keynote session in accordance with office needs.


MACU Professor, Dr. Kim Thomas, named President-elect of the Oklahoma Sociological Association for 2014

Provost Kathaleen Reid-Martinez, provost of Mid-America Christian University (, announced today that Dr. Kim Thomas has been named president–elect of the Oklahoma Sociological Association (OSA) for the year 2014. 


MACU Men's Basketball makes NAIA Top 25 for First time in History


Kansas City, Mo. -- Today is a historic day for the Mid-America Christian University Men's Basketball program, as the Evangels have jumped into the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll for the first time in school history, coming in at No. 25 in the organization's weekly poll for Feb. 5.


Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

This is a reminder that Mid-America Christian University will be closed Monday January 21, 2013, in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  We will resume normal business hours Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m., January 22.
