Celebrating God’s Faithfulness Through Generations at MACU Homecoming 2026

Mid-America Christian University welcomed alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends back to campus for Homecoming 2026. Homecoming was a time for alumni to reminisce about their experiences, reconnect with old friends, and share stories with the next generation of students. Conversations throughout campus reflected the lasting relationships built at MACU and the many ways God has continued to work through the University and its people.

The weekend also provided opportunities to look ahead. During the President’s Round Table and alumni gatherings, members of the MACU community shared perspectives, heard updates about the University’s continued growth, and caught a glimpse of what is ahead. Special walkthroughs of the developing Student Center gave alumni and guests an opportunity to see the vision for new spaces that will serve future generations of students.

Campus traditions brought students, alumni, and families together throughout the celebration. From the creativity and friendly competition of the Student Sign Competition to the many participants who helped make the Costume and Candy Crawl a success, the weekend was filled with opportunities to create new memories. The Alumni Cookout and Alumni Worship Service offered additional time to reconnect and celebrate the community and shared faith that unite the MACU family.

One special moment of the weekend came during halftime of the men’s basketball game, when MACU recognized members of its Women’s 2006 NCCAA Division II National Championship team. The recognition celebrated an important part of the University’s athletic history and brought another generation of MACU alumni back together.

As alumni and current students gathered throughout the weekend, Homecoming served as a reminder that MACU’s story continues to be written. Each generation has contributed to the University’s history and played a part in carrying its mission forward: preparing people to do greater things for God and His Kingdom.

The faces and stories may change through the years, but God’s faithfulness remains. From those who helped shape MACU’s beginnings to the students who are building its future, Homecoming 2026 celebrated the generations connected by a shared faith, purpose, and family.
