OKLAHOMA CITY — Mid-America Christian University (MACU) is proud to announce that Rev. Dr. Phil Greenwald has been appointed to serve on the Church of God Ministries Council, the leadership body that helps shape the spiritual and organizational direction of the global Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) movement.
President Greenwald’s appointment reflects both a personal calling and MACU’s continued commitment to its roots in the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana). The Church of God Ministries Council provides vision and governance for the Movement’s national and international ministry efforts, working with pastors, congregations, and institutions to further God’s Kingdom around the world.
“I’m incredibly honored to represent the Church of God Universities on the Ministries Council,” said President Greenwald. “This movement has shaped our ministry at Mid-America Christian University and my calling to the Kingdom of God. We’re excited to link arms with leaders from around the world to pursue God’s mission with bold faith, deep unity, and Spirit-led vision.”
As a leader in Christian higher education and a dedicated servant of the Church, President Greenwald brings experience, integrity, and a deep commitment to biblical truth to his new role on the Council. His voice will contribute to important conversations that shape the Church’s mission in a changing world—particularly at the intersection of faith, education, and service.
The appointment is another reminder of MACU’s continued impact both within and beyond the walls of its Oklahoma City campus, as the University equips students to live out their faith boldly and impact the world for the Glory of God.
