MACU Hosts “The Key to Your College Future” Event

Mid-America Christian University (MACU) recently welcomed students, parents, and educators from local schools to campus for “The Key to Your College Future,” an interactive event designed to equip attendees with practical tools and guidance for navigating the college journey.

From middle school to adult learners, the event brought together prospective students at various stages, offering a wide range of sessions tailored to their unique needs and questions. Throughout the morning, attendees had the opportunity to explore topics such as choosing the right major, preparing academically for college, and understanding the steps to success in higher education.

Breakout sessions covered essential areas including scholarship opportunities, FAFSA support, and tips for transitioning into college life. Specialized sessions also addressed the needs of parents, bilingual families, and students considering alternative pathways, such as technical careers. A panel discussion featuring parents of current and former college students provided valuable insight and encouragement from a family perspective.

In addition to informational sessions, participants engaged in a college fair-style “table walk around,” where they connected with representatives and gathered resources to support their future plans. The event also included dedicated support for programs like Oklahoma’s Promise, helping students better understand financial aid opportunities available to them.

“The Key to Your College Future” reflects MACU’s ongoing commitment to serving the community by making higher education more accessible and understandable. By creating space for questions, exploration, and connection, the University aims to empower students and families to take confident next steps toward their educational goals.
