Spiritual Transformation Week: Live With Purpose

Mid-America Christian University welcomed Pete and Christine Robertson to campus for Spiritual Transformation Week, September 8-11, as students, faculty, and staff gathered to grow in their relationship with Christ and consider what it means to live a life of intentional discipleship.

Throughout the three-day experience, Pete Robertson walked the MACU community through three foundational reasons why we were created: to know and be known by God, to see and love people like Jesus, and to make disciples who make disciples.

The week encouraged attendees to understand discipleship as a lifelong journey of following Jesus, being transformed by Him, and helping others do the same. Pete Robertson brings decades of ministry experience and currently leads Natural Discipleship, an international ministry that equips churches and ministry leaders through discipleship training, curriculum, and coaching. He and his wife, Christine, also own Mission Travel Faith Tours, which has partnered with MACU to provide educational experiences around the world.

As the week came to a close, students were encouraged to consider how these three purposes shape the way they live, lead, serve, and interact with others. The Robertsons’ hope was that attendees would leave with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence that God can use them to make a lasting impact wherever He calls them.

Spiritual Transformation Week served as a reminder that following Jesus is not simply something Christians do. It is who they are called to become.
