Mid-America Christian University celebrated alumni and friends who are making a lasting impact through their workplaces, churches, and communities during the annual iMpact Awards on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026.
The evening brought together members of the MACU family to celebrate the accomplishments of six honorees and reconnect with those who continue to make a difference in the lives of others. This year’s honorees included Rev. Steve Chiles (’79), Lifetime Achievement Award; Chip Taylor (’97), Heart of an Evangel Award; Catherine Shaffer (’18), Young Alumni Award; Karlie Minson (’19), Educator Award; Earlywine Park YMCA, Community Impact Award; and Bella Renda, Evangel Impact Award.
Each honoree reflects MACU’s vision of preparing people to do greater things for God and His Kingdom through their leadership, service, and commitment to their communities. The evening was a reminder of the lasting connections that unite the MACU family and the many ways its members continue to live out their faith beyond campus.
The annual dinner also raises funds for the Heart of the Evangel Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to students who need additional support to make their MACU education possible after exhausting other financial aid options. Through the generosity of alumni and friends, the University continues to invest in students as they pursue their education and prepare for their God-given callings.
MACU is grateful for the alumni, friends, and supporters who remain part of the University’s story and continue to help its mission reach beyond campus.
