Two MACU Employees Named Top 40 Hispanic Leaders

Two of our Mid-America Christian University employees, Erica Alvarez-Stanton and Dr. Jesus Sampedro, have been selected as “2024 Oklahoma City Area Top 40 Hispanic Leader” Award Honorees by the Oklahoma Hispanic Institute.

Alvarez-Stanton serves as Executive Director of Admissions and Community Outreach, while Dr. Sampedro holds the position of Program Director for MA in Leadership and Associate Professor.

“At MACU, we are well aware of the incredible leadership and service Dr. Sampedro and Erica Alvarez-Stanton bring to our campus and the Hispanic community,” said MACU President Phil Greenwald. “This recognition is truly deserved, and we are proud to work with such committed individuals who live out our mission to ‘Dream Bigger’ and ‘Do Greater.’”

Dr. Jesus Sampedro joined MACU in 2008 and currently serves on multiple boards, has authored seven leadership books, and founded a global leadership consulting firm. Erica Alvarez-Stanton has been serving marginalized and underserved communities for more than 16 years, using her knowledge and resources to encourage the next generation to pursue a post-secondary education.
