Dr. Gina Wilson

Assistant Director of Nursing

Dr. Gina Wilson is a dedicated nurse educator and seasoned registered nurse who brings more than three decades of clinical and academic expertise to her role as Assistant Director for the School of Nursing and Associate Professor. With a distinguished career spanning 35 years in nursing—primarily in medical-surgical and home health care—Dr. Wilson has developed a reputation for her deep clinical insight and commitment to compassionate care.

For the past 33 years, Dr. Wilson has served as a full-time nurse educator, shaping future generations of nurses through her unwavering emphasis on caring, excellence, and professionalism. She considers it both an honor and a privilege to walk alongside students in their journey to becoming nurses, finding joy and fulfillment in witnessing their personal, professional, and spiritual growth.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Wilson is happily married and part of a close-knit family that includes two children and four grandchildren. In her personal time, she enjoys reading—especially the Bible—and engaging in outdoor activities such as biking, jogging, and hiking.
