Statement on FAFSA Delays
We know this has been an unprecedented and difficult time for students preparing to begin or continue college. The U.S. Department of Education is experiencing unforeseen complications due to the launch of the brand-new FAFSA system for 2024-25, causing historic delays in the release of FAFSA information to colleges and universities.
Please know that Mid-America Christian University is working hard as we await the receipt of FAFSA information from our applicants.
Here is the latest news we have received from the U.S. Department of Education:
- The first batch of FAFSA information is scheduled to be transmitted by the U.S. Department of Education beginning in the first half of March
- The U.S. Department of Education estimates the majority of FAFSA forms will be issued to schools in the weeks following the beginning of delivery
- Online forms will be prioritized for processing first, followed by paper forms
MACU is committed to providing our students with a high quality, Christian education and believes that cost should never be a barrier to college entry. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time. Please do not wait to submit your FAFSA, as this may cause additional delays. If you have any questions, please contact your Admissions or Enrollment Counselor.
