Mid-America Christian University has hired Ashley Gotcher to serve as the university’s new Executive Director of Alumni Engagement effective Aug. 29.
Gotcher previously served as Director of Admissions from 2016-2021.
“I could not be more excited to welcome Ashley back to the MACU family, as the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement,” said University President Phil Greenwald. “She has an incredible passion for our students and for the mission of MACU. I know that our alumni will be thrilled to connect and engage with her and the MACU campus in this exciting new role.”
The position is a part of Greenwald’s initiative to be more deliberate with alumni relations. He said that Gotcher will lead efforts to create events, groups, celebrations, and communications focused on alumni, with opportunities for alumni to reconnect with the University and their former classmates coming as soon as this year.
While serving in the Office of Admissions, Gotcher led the department through a time of significant growth and saw one of the University’s largest-ever graduating classes (729) graduate in 2019.
“Ashley is a proven leader who serves others with a gracious and God-like spirit,” said Greenwald. “I am excited to see our relationship with our alumni grow in new and exciting ways.”
Gotcher holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business with minors in Marketing and Management from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from MACU. Prior to working at MACU, Gotcher worked at Wright Career Colleges and Oklahoma City University. She and her husband, Britt, live in south Oklahoma City with their two young daughters.
