Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Mid-America Christian University’s RN to BSN program empowers registered nurses to advance their careers through a hybrid online/on-campus format, accommodating the busy schedules of working nurses. The curriculum enhances clinical decision-making, leadership abilities, and understanding of contemporary healthcare challenges, all within a framework that integrates faith and service. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Public Health Nurse.

- Active U.S. RN license – Unencumbered Registered Nurse license from the United States
- Nursing Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited program – minimum 2.0 CGPA; OR
- Nursing Diploma (ND) from a nationally accredited program – minimum 2.0 CGPA

RN TO BSN Curriculum
MACU RN to BSN students complete coursework related to nursing theory, research, community health, leadership, and more. Courses are delivered online to accommodate the busy schedules of working nurses. Practicum experiences are customized to each student’s interests and career goals, ensuring that learning is directly applicable to real-world practice.
Students in the RN to BSN degree program are required to complete 45 credit hours of university core coursework, 36 hours of major core coursework, and 39 hours of electives, for a total of 120 required credit hours.
University Core Course Subject Requirements
The 46 credit hours of university core courses cover topics in areas including:

- Communication
- U.S. History and Government

- Mathematics
- Social Sciences
- Humanities
The University Core Requirements, except for the Bible/Theology course, may be met with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).
