Cassidi Heltcel is an Assistant Professor in the School of Business Leadership. She earned her first degree, a BA from OU in Psychology and her second degree a Master’s in Business Administration from MACU. After working in accounting since she was a teenager, Cassidi decided that she wanted to obtain her CPA License. She went back to school and obtained her licensure in 2017. Cassidi, and her business partner, Jamie Ward, currently own and operate a local public accounting firm, Ascension CPA. They also share the role as the Accounting Program Director where they hope to integrate a more hands on experience focusing more in accounting applications. Cassidi is passionate about what she does and is excited to extend her love for accounting to the students of MACU.
Cassidi and her husband have four children, two boys (Riley and Joseph) and two girls (Kynzli and Courtlyn). She also has two dogs (Huckleberry and Oakley) and two guinea pigs (Patches and Pumpkin). Outside the classroom and CPA firm, Cassidi spends her time watching her oldest, Riley, play guitar/bass in local shows and at church, Kynzli dance on the sidelines during football games or in a dance competition, and Courtlyn play volleyball for her high school and club team. She also enjoys anything adventurous and loves to travel.
