Dr. John Fozard Named President Emeritus

We’re pleased to announce Dr. John Fozard, the fourth President of MACU, has been named President Emeritus.

Dr. Fozard embodies the spirit of an Evangel, having served the University for 25 years. While under his leadership, MACU has experienced growth in enrollment, programs and facilities. Ask anyone (including him!) and they’ll tell you his legacy is his love for students, commitment to teaching the Bible and faithful work to improve student life.

John and his wife, Brenda, live near campus and actively support the University through their prayers, gifts, presence, and service. We invite our alumni and friends to join us in celebrating this appointment by making a gift to the Humphrey Sisters Teacher Education Scholarship, which the Fozards started in honor of John’s mother, Lenora, and aunts Leora Throgmorton and Eva Owen — all elementary school teachers who first inspired his love for learning!
