I spent five years in the chemical dependency program for a Christian Counseling Agency where I assisted in the opening and development of three of their programs at different clinics around the state. Following that, I began to work in individual mental health, marriage, and trauma counseling for the same Christian Counseling Agency. I worked in that role for five years. In 2013, I went on to develop a trauma class for individuals, meeting the needs of so many clients who needed therapy for trauma. I became certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) counseling to take the counseling I do for those managing trauma to the next level. In 2017, I opened a private practice to help those who work in professions where they deal with a significant amount of trauma. I still see clients for this on a part-time basis in my private practice – Renew Your Mind – Counseling Consulting and Supervision, LLC
