“Teaching at MACU has been an experience of being part of the family of Christ in a profound way – God has brought you here to be part of the family. Welcome home, and welcome to the family!“
Dr. Annette Pullen spent five years working with a Christian Counseling Agency’s chemical dependency program, where she played a crucial role in opening and developing three of their programs across various clinics in the state. Subsequently, she shifted her focus to individual mental health, marriage, and trauma counseling within the same agency, serving in that capacity for an additional five years.
In 2013, Dr. Pullen pioneered a trauma class designed to address the needs of clients seeking therapy for trauma. She further enhanced her expertise by becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) counseling, advancing her ability to support clients managing trauma. In 2017, she founded a private practice, Renew Your Mind – Counseling Consulting and Supervision, LLC, to assist individuals in professions with high trauma exposure. Dr. Pullen continues to offer part-time counseling services through her practice.
