Bachelor of Arts — Elementary Education
Imagine the Impact You Can Make with an Elementary Education Degree
Designed to align with the rigorous standards set forth by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), the B.A. in Elementary Education at Mid-America Christian University focuses on traditional theory, fundamental coursework and contemporary teaching methods so you may gain comprehensive knowledge blended with real-world classroom experience and biblical principles to positively teach and guide children through the all-important elementary years.
You will be equipped to identify and address each child’s individual needs, seek licensure in elementary education, and ultimately become an effective teacher in the classroom, whether in a public or private school setting. In addition to covering the traditional course subjects of math, social studies and English, to name a few, the program also includes: child/adolescent and educational psychology, instructional technology and instructional strategies.
